We are located in Albir, Alfaz del Pi (Alicante). We first opened in 2015, however in January 2020 Little People was taken over by a new director, Leah, who aims to make even more wonderful changes in every aspect.
We follow the British curriculum (Early Years Foundation Stage and The National Curriculum). Our setting is separated into 3 age groups – Prenursery 1-3 years , Nursery 3-4 years and Reception/Key Stage 1 4-6 years.
All of our teachers have experience in the UK and are native. We favour the British education system due to it allowing children to be respected as individuals and learning through play along with carefully planned activities to support curiosity and development.
Given the location of our centre we have many different children from different backgrounds, we feel this is a huge benefit for the children as they can socialise and interact with others from different cultures and who don’t initially speak the same language.
We also understand the importance of our non-spanish students to learn Spanish, therefore our bilingual teachers offer daily Spanish sessions to enhance the children’s Spanish speaking skills. Children also pick this up through daily conversations with each other.
We have a yoga teacher who comes once per week, which the children really enjoy. We love to go for regular walks and trips, so we can explore our lovely community and beautiful surroundings.
We have a catering company who comes daily to deliver us a healthy-nutrisious lunch and we also provide a morning and afternoon snack, (also breakfast if required). All allergies and intolerances are catered for.
We are flexible in drop off times and have an open-door policy, where you can come and pick up your child when you feels best. We also offer childcare for short term periods.
